Architects Unveil "Whiplash" as Lead Single for Upcoming Album "The Sky, The Earth & All Between"

British metalcore titans Architects have released their new single "Whiplash" on November 19, 2024, marking the beginning of a new era for the band. The track serves as the third single from their highly anticipated 11th studio album, "The Sky, The Earth & All Between," set for release on February 28, 2025, via Epitaph Records.

"Whiplash," produced by Jordan Fish, showcases Architects' evolution within the metalcore genre. The song blends heavy instrumentation with stomping rock riffs and furious screams from vocalist Sam Carter, delivering a brutal, circle-pit anthem with one of their catchiest choruses alongside a bone-crushing metalcore breakdown. Drummer Dan Searle describes the track as "truly ferocious" and an opportunity for the band to explore new concepts1. The song delves into themes of tribalism and the growing divide between people based on opinions and beliefs.

A cinematic music video for "Whiplash," directed by Specter Berlin and shot in Slovenia, accompanies the release. Known for his work with Rammstein, Specter Berlin's visual concept adds depth to the song's lyrics, creating a unique artistic interpretation.

"The Sky, The Earth & All Between" will feature 12 tracks, including previously released singles "Seeing Red" and "Curse," which have collectively amassed over 70 million streams. The album also includes collaborations with House of Protection and Amira Elfeky.

Architects have spent the last 12 months touring extensively, including supporting Metallica and appearing at major festivals like Louder Than Life, Aftershock, and Download. They've also announced a handful of dates supporting Linkin Park in Germany for 202.

With "The Sky, The Earth & All Between," Architects aim to further solidify their position as one of the most important rock bands to emerge from the UK, continuing to push the boundaries of their sound within the metalcore genre.
